Hey there, Terri. I’m so glad that you found the article helpful.
I hesitate to share specific recommendations of training services, but I think this may help:

Many state websites provide information about service dog training services. For example, here’s The State of Georgia’s Service Animal Page.
There are some links there, which may prove helpful.

Best of luck!

I’m disabled and in the need of a service dog.
Will you please give me a list of places that train services dogs in the southern states?

If so I have 2 other unicorns from an unexpected litter who are looking for their person who needs them. Samurai is my 4th SD, a year old and hungry to learn. He is not my first mixed. My last SD was a Mastiff/Shepherd bred for mobility aid and passed last year at the age of 13.

Because of the number of disabilities I have a strong, devoted, and intelligent dog was a necessity. If my battery goes down on my mobility chair, the dog needs to be strong enough to help me get it to where it could be charged. It also had to be able to go all day in heat/cold and in and out of it when shopping or at appointments. He already sleeps with me and wakes me when my insulin pump alarms as I won’t hear it due to meds. Tells me to go to bed, picks up what I drop and gives it to me. He has a lot to learn but I have faith he will serve this 71 year old woman proudly.

Hail to the Unicorns.

Always at my side or feet, except when he is out to play with his siblings,

Hey there, Edith. Sorry to hear about your health problems.

The best thing would be to simply Google “service dog +(your city/state).”
But given your financial constraints, you may want to try this organization: Assistance Dog United Campaign.

We can’t vouch for that organization ourselves, but they appear to help people in similar circumstances.
Best of luck!
