I ordered this for my wife for Valentine’s Day. When the order arrived, it looked nice, the gift baskets looked just like in the picture. Then we opened them. The description here is a complete fabrication – not only do the baskets not include the items listed, what was included was a far cry from “gourmet”. I could have gone to Wal-Mart, and found better gourmet chocolates than what came in these – for a much smaller price.

Here’s a complete list of what actually came in the boxes:
3 individually packaged Russell Stover creme-filled hearts (the kind you can get in pretty much every gas station)
A small bag of Palmer foil wrapped chocolate hearts (as in, the kind they sell in bulk at dollar stores)
A foil wrapped generic truffle (no name on the foil)
A small bag of chocolate chip cookies that looked like dog food, or cookie crisp
2 little kid cherry flavored “twirl” lollipops (Adams & Brooks brand)
A small bag of palmer foil wrapped cookies & creme hearts
A small bag of almond & chocolate drizzled popcorn

Most of the boxes were filled with shredded paper. All of the food items were factory packaged. The entire thing appeared as if someone went to the convenience store, threw a bunch of bulk food items into their cart, bought a bunch of poorly made heart containers, then put them together and sold them for a killing.

It ruined my plans to have such poor quality delivered. I don’t mind spending money for quality items (for example, I spent just under $200 for the flowers that accompanied this gift), but this item is definitely not quality, and absolutely not worth the money I spent.

These were ordered as a gift for my mom, and she was quite happy with it. They arrived in perfect condition and she says that they taste great. I am pleased with my purchase and would recommend it to others.

Not really truffles, November 6, 2014

Not what I would call truffles. These are more like chocolates. I purchased these at a local flower shop in Washington. They were reasonably priced for truffles. Once I realized they weren’t really truffles, I wanted a refund. They taste fine, but nothing like Godiva truffles.
