   Pretty rough and bitter flavor, even considering the high cacao content. I eat a square daily as a health food which captures it pretty well because it tastes more like a health food than a candy or a treat!

   It’s dark chocolate, good dark chocolate. To get a higher percentage of dark chocolate in your candy is to invite a huge jump in cost. That’s just the nature of this kind of delicacy. I chop these squares up into little pieces and mix them in with all sorts of nuts, it’s a very tasty and healthy snack.

   MMMMMM…It was hard to find a dark chocolate candy that was more than maybe 70-75% cacoa.
   These Ghirardelli Intense Dark Squares are 86%–the highest I’ve found. They aren’t real sweet
   so if it’s a sweet treat you’re after, this isn’t it. Cacoa on it’s own, isn’t sweet.. there’s a lot of sugar
   added to it to make chocolate sweet. In four pieces ot this, what they say is a serving size, you only
   get 5gm of sugar whereas in a regular size Snickers Bar you get 27 gm. I’ve found eating 1/2 a sq.
   satisfies me these are so rich in the dark chocolate flavor. Of course, I don’t chew… I allow 1/4 of a
   square to melt in my mouth at a time. I bought these a month ago and are just finishing the first of
   the four bags. If you really like dark chocolate, I recommend these smooth, dark, not overly sweet
   chocolates as a special treat.

   Was perfect for brewing a mango ale. Some reviews mentioned it was strong but it was not when we added it to our 6 gallon batch. At first it was a little strong but the flavor dissipated a few days later and it was the perfect amount of mango taste to our beer. Would purchase again for our beer recipe.

   Made a cider. This works. However, I would be VERY sparing in your use. Might want to have a test run as you might get odd results. I wasn’t expecting so much of a chemical-y taste. Maybe I used too much – but I followed their directions and used half the bottle to a 2.5 gallon batch. I kept half the batch unflavored and it’s much better.
